About
Working as a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. As well the joint Professor in the Center of Excellence in Disaster Mitigation and Management in the Institute and is also holding the post of Dean, Administration. At the national level chairing the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Sub-Committee of the Bureau of Indian Standards, New Delhi. Has been honoured with the Outstanding Teacher Award at the Institute and remained Star Performer Awardee for three consecutive years. The research areas are refrigeration and air-conditioning, instrumentation and measurement, fire dynamics, and solar energy. Holds 24 years of experience in teaching and research, guided 24 PhD students, and has published more than 100 articles in international journals of repute.
