About

I am a full-time Ph.D. Candidate at the AHM lab-CART, formerly ITMMEC, located at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT.) Delhi, India. I earned my Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from DAVIET in Jalandhar, India, and my Master of Engineering in Production Engineering (with a Gold Medal) from TIET, ABET accredited in Patiala, India. My master's thesis was funded by SERB, India, under the project titled "Development of Microwave Processed Cavitation Erosion Resistance Cladding."
I have been pursuing my Ph.D. at IIT Delhi since December 2019. Additionally, I participated in a fully sponsored research internship at the ILK of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) in Germany from April 2023 to July 2023. I was awarded the COMPOLL Awardee 2022 for presenting an outstanding poster and pitch at the COMPOLL-Joint Conference 2022.
From August 2023 to July 2024, I am a Visiting Scholar at Ray W. Herrick Laboratories in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University in the United States. This opportunity is made possible by the SERB-OVDF 2023-2024 program in India.

My research interests include passive noise control, automotive NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness), surface engineering, microwave material processing, additive manufacturing, and polymer and metal matrix composites. I have accumulated six years of research experience, resulting in 6 patents and 31 published papers in international and national journals and conferences. The cumulative number of citations for my research work on Google Scholar stands at 303, with an h-index of 10 and an i-index of 10.

I hold a life membership with the Acoustical Society of India (ASI) and student memberships with the Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE) in the United States, the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) in the United Kingdom, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). I also actively contribute as a peer reviewer for esteemed scientific journals, including STMP, JOPME, MST, MRX, IJIDeM, ERX, SRL, JPCO, CTP, and IEID.

Furthermore, I possess hands-on experience with various software, such as Creo Parametric 3.0, CATIA-v5R19, AutoCAD, ANSYS 15.0.7 & 19.2, COMSOL 5.4, MATLAB, fluid simulation tools like FESTO, SPSS 24.0, MINITAB 19.0, CNC Train v.8, Simplify 3D, Kiss Soft 03-2016, Origin Pro 2021, TA Universal Analyzer, X'Pert High Score, ProtoMax Layout, and Make. I am also proficient in using noise and vibration measurement equipment, including a Four Microphone Impedance Tube, Acoustic Camera, Head and Torso Simulator, Sonoscout, Sound Intensity Probe, Modal Shaker, Impact Hammer, Accelerometer, Microphone, and Data Acquisition Systems. Additionally, I have experience with materials development and characterization equipment, such as Compression Molding, Thermogravimetric Analyzer, Thermal Conductivity Measurement, Metallurgical Microscopy, Microwave Materials Processing Unit, Waterjet Cutting Machine, 3D Printer, Goniometer, Surface Roughness Measurement, C.N.C. Milling Machine, Probe Sonicator, and Pin on Disc Tribometer.
