About
Dr. Yogesh Oghadbhai Bhola is an accomplished chemist and academician specializing in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Shri M. P. Pandya Science College, Lunawada, affiliated with Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra, Gujarat, where he is actively involved in UG, PG teaching and Ph.D. supervision.
Dr. Bhola earned his Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from Saurashtra University, Rajkot, under the supervision of Dr. Y. T. Naliapara. His doctoral research focused on the design and synthesis of pharmacologically active heterocyclic compounds, including pyrazole, triazole, thiazole, and pyridine derivatives, with applications in antimicrobial and anticancer drug discovery. He has also completed his M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Chemistry from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, with excellent academic performance.
He has successfully qualified prestigious national examinations such as CSIR-NET (twice, with All-India ranks 40 and 17), GSET, and GATE, reflecting his strong academic and research credentials. His research interests extend to molecular docking, DFT studies, ADMET analysis, catalysis, total synthesis, and medicinal chemistry.
Dr. Bhola has published numerous research articles in reputed international peer-reviewed journals including Journal of Molecular Structure, RSC Advances, Synthetic Communications, ChemistrySelect, and Results in Chemistry. He is also the author and co-author of several chemistry textbooks and laboratory safety books published by national and international publishers. In addition, he holds a patent under process related to anticancer agents.
With teaching experience across multiple universities and colleges in Gujarat, Dr. Bhola has actively contributed to research, teaching, conferences, workshops, and academic development programs. His work continues to bridge synthetic chemistry and computational drug design, contributing meaningfully to modern chemical and pharmaceutical research.
