About

I am a globally recognized expert in postharvest and packaging research, currently serving as the Additional Director/Professor at IIP Mumbai (HQ). Driven by a commitment to global food security, I also serve as the Executive Director, World Food Preservation Center (USA), an Honorary Professor at the State University of Bangladesh, and a Member of the FSSAI Scientific Panel on Fruits and Vegetables and their Products (SP-12). Previously, I contributed to the academic and research ecosystem as Head and Associate Professor/Sr Scientist at Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour and Benue State University, Makurdi, Nigeria as Adjunct Associate Professor. Acquired research and infrastructural funding of INR 23 Crores. I am honored to be ranked among Stanford University’s Top 2% of Scientists for five consecutive years (2021–2025). Authored more than 100 research articles and 25 books, earning an h-index 46 and i10 index 116 and over 7,600 citations, and I hold 11 National and International Patents. My journey is further marked by prestigious fellowships and international leadership roles, including my former board membership at the Postharvest Education Foundation (USA).
