About

Gagandeep received his M.Sc. in Chemistry Honours from Guru Nanak Dev University, where he investigated the solvation behavior of amino acids and peptides relevant to complex biofluids. He then joined Dr. Tejwant’s lab for his PhD, where he worked on the synthesis and interactions of biobased ionic liquids with structurally diverse biopolymers for the long as well as short-term stabilization and storage of therapeutically important biomolecules (protein, antibodies) at room temperature. In his brief postdoc tenure at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) in Prof. Siddharth’s lab, he worked on the drug solubilization in biobased deep eutectic solvents and 2D materials. His current role as a postdoc fellow in Dr. Tanner’s lab is to synthesize novel bio inspired ionic liquids for coating polymeric nanoparticles for selective targeting of the cancer cells.
