About
Soumya Ranjan Mahapatra is currently working as a Senior Research Fellow at KIIT University. He is well-versed with bioinformatics tools and software and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. He is investigating the molecular factors underpinning the virulence and pathogenicity of K. pneumoniae for his research at KIIT School of Biotechnology. He has completed his M.Sc. in Bioinformatics from Utkal University, Odisha, India in 2019. He has published more than 15 articles in high indexed journals along with one book chapter. He has also developed several cutting-edge computational databases which have been widely used by the scientific community (http://covp.immt.res.in/, http://bbprof.immt.res.in/embfv2.0/). His current research interests include drug design, comparative genomics, and vaccine design.
