• Dr. Arun Kumar has been working as a Senior Scientist at Mahavir Cancer Sansthan & Research Centre, Patna, Bihar, India, since August 2007 (Eighteen Years) and received his Ph.D. in August 2008 from Patna University, Patna, Bihar, India.
• Recently, he has been selected in 2% top Scientist list for year 2024 by Stanford University, USA.
• His research has been in the field of Cancer biology, Cancer Epidemiology, Cancer Etiology, Environment Toxicology.
• Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as: Prof. G.P. Talwar Gold Medal - 2007, New Delhi, International Indo-UK Workshop Award - 2018, Shradha Suman Award -2013, Patna etc.
• He has been invited for lectures in University of Manchester, University of Tokyo, National Cancer Centre, Japan and St. Petersburg SPIEF-2023, Russia.
• His main aim is to combat cancer disease burden in India by new innovations and development of biosensors to combat disease in early stage.
• He has been selected as PI- Centre of Excellence (2025) by Indian Council of Medical Research for 5 years.
• He has authored & co-authored 200 Peer reviewed research articles and 06 books and 09 book chapters.
• He is serving as an editorial member & expert reviewer of several reputed journals.
• He has Co-supervised 32 Ph.D. students and supervised 218 Master’s dissertations.
• He has been Investigator of major projects granted from-
