Dr. Piyush Charan is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Manav Rachna University, Faridabad. Prior to this, he served as Assistant Professor, and the University SWAYAM MOOCs Coordinator of Integral University, Lucknow for over 10 years. He completed the M.Tech. Degree in Wireless Communication Engineering from the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering in 2012 from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj, India, and received a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Integral University, Lucknow in 2020. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, USA; a Life Member of the Institution of Engineers, India (IEI), and a Life Member of ISTE, India. His research is focused on developing machine learning algorithms for computer vision and for smart IoTH (internet of things for healthcare) devices. He has developed an energy-efficient routing protocol for Wireless Sensors and Sensor Networks using Cooperative Caching. He also shows interest in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks, VANETs, and Renewable Energy, and has more than 30 research papers in the journal of repute. He has published two Indian patents based on health monitoring using wearable electronic devices and has authored two books.
