Dr. Gupta is a sea ice geophysicist with expertise in remote sensing (active and passive microwave) of sea ice. His active research interests include Arctic sea ice thickness, ice thickness distribution, sea ice concentration, sea ice thickness data assimilation, microwave remote sensing of sea ice and marginal ice zone (MIZ) dynamics in the Arctic, coastal processes, and surface deformation using InSAR.
