Currently serving as the Associate Dean – Research, Faculty of Nursing at Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary (SGT) University, Gurugram, Dr. Sharma’s journey is marked by stellar achievements and unwavering dedication to her field.
Educational Background and Academic Journey
Dr. Sharma’s academic journey commenced with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Honors) followed by a Master of Science in Psychiatric Nursing from the prestigious Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing, affiliated with Delhi University. Driven by a passion for research and academic excellence, she pursued a Ph.D. in Nursing from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, in collaboration with WHO and the Indian Nursing Council.

Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Sharma has held academic and leadership positions at renowned nursing institutions, including Lakshmi Bai Batra College of Nursing, Amity College of Nursing, MM College of Nursing, and Teerthankar Mahaveer College of Nursing, where she served as Professor and Principal. Her scholarly contributions are substantial, with over 40 research papers published in national and international journals.
Dr. Sharma’s research interests include psychiatric nursing, evidence-based practice, legal and ethical issues in nursing, and qualitative research methodologies. Her work has been widely recognized, earning her awards and accolades that reflect her influence on nursing education and practice.

A committed member of the professional nursing community, Dr. Sharma holds lifetime memberships in several esteemed organizations such as the Indian Society of Psychiatric Nurses, Nursing Research Society of India, and the Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI). As a mentor and guide, she has supervised over 30 undergraduate and postgraduate theses, shaping the next generation of nurse researchers and practitioners.
