Krishnendu Ghosh Dastidar is a Professor of economics at the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. His areas of specialization are oligopoly theory and auction theory. He was educated at Presidency College, Kolkata and JNU, New Delhi. In 2013-14 he was Visiting Research Scholar at the “Institute of Social and Economic Research”, Osaka University, and was Visiting Fellow, Department of Economics, Harvard University, USA (with "Ford Foundation Post-Doctoral Fellowship") in 1997- 98.
Professor Dastidar has published extensively in top journals including Journal of Economic Theory, Games and Economic Behavior, Economic Theory, International Journal of Economic Theory, European Economic Review, Mathematical Social Sciences, and Economics Letters. He has also published two books:
1. “Oligopoly, Auctions and Market Quality” , Springer, Japan (2017)
2. Editor of the festschrift Dimensions of Economic Theory and Policy: Essays for Anjan Mukherji (Co-editors- H. Mukhopadhyay and U. B. Sinha), Oxford University Press, New Delhi (2011)
