About
Dr. Joystu Dutta is a Associate Professor and Head in the Department of Environmental Sciences at Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya Sarguja, Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh with extensive expertise in environmental management and sustainability. With a mosaic character blending industry and academia, his research interests span ecological assessment, biodiversity, disaster management, environmental sociology, climate change, rural development, environmental law, and community-based conservation. He has also worked on projects related to pollution monitoring, bioaccumulation of heavy metals, and the application of GIS and remote sensing in environmental studies. Dr. Dutta specializes in biodiversity assessment, ecological monitoring, and climate change mitigation strategies. Has received notable recognition, including the UGC NET in Environmental Science, DST INSPIRE Fellowship, and Young Scientist Award by the Indian Environmental Science Association. His professional experience includes research at the Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, and Gujarat Institute of Desert Ecology, with a focus on arid and semi-arid ecosystems.
