Central University of Rajasthan, RMIT University, University of Rajasthan, Amity University Rajasthan, M. D. S. University
About
Dr. Hemant Kumar Daima is an Indian scientist, academician, and educational administrator. Presently, he is working as Associate Professor and Head at the Department of Biochemistry, Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer, India. Earlier, he has worked at Amity University Rajasthan, Jaipur, India; Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur, India and RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia with different capabilities.
Dr. Daima’s research team is developing advanced functional organic and inorganic nanomaterials for drug/gene delivery, bio-sensing, management of cancer, control of inflammation, neutralizing multi-drug resistant (MDR) bacteria, nanozyme activities and medical devices. His laboratory also emphases on the fundamental understanding of Nano-Bio interfacial interactions and regulating nanotoxicity of functionalized materials. Dr. Daima’s research has demonstrated importance of surface functionalization in regulating nanomaterials exterior corona, which dictates nanomaterials interaction at nano-bio interface. His research findings have revealed guiding principles involved in rational nanoparticle design strategies for biomedical applications.
Dr. Daima is editorial board member and reviewer of several leading international publishers. He is member of numerous scientific/professional bodies, and recipient of several international fellowships/awards.
