Jagdeep Singh

About

Dr Jagdeep Singh is a Research in Environmental Science at Centre for Environmental and Climate Science (CEC) at Lund University. His research focuses on investigating challenges and opportunities associated with deriving biomass from agricultural land in Sweden for bioenergy purposes and mitigating climate change. Previously, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at Lund University. His research focused on evaluating sustainability impacts of sharing economy and collaborative consumption. Previously, he was a Research Fellow in Sustainable Business at NTU and was a´ member of the Centre for Industrial Energy, Materials and Products (CIE-MAP), UK. He identified and evaluated environmentally sustainable business practices focusing on resource efficiency and the circular economy.

Jagdeep has pursued his PhD degree in Industrial Ecology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm, Sweden. He has pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Himachal Pradesh University) and a Master’s in Energy Studies (Renewable Energy Technologies) - an interdisciplinary master’s program offered at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. Apart from academia, he has also worked in the industry (as a project engineer).

His research interests involve sustainability science, environmental justice, and policy analysis. Apart from my academic activities, he is deeply interested in social psychology and environmental philosophy.
