About

I am research driven individual and keenly involved in the drug delivery research. Two Indian Patents and numbers of research publications in the journals of repute in the field of drug delivery research affirms my research ability. During my masters I developed soluble ocular drug inserts of Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride to achieve the controlled release for the treatment of conjunctivitis. I received Ph.D. degree from R.T.M. Nagpur University for my research on “Development of transdermal drug delivery systems for some cardiovascular drugs” in 2010. No researcher can put oral drug delivery out of his mind as oral route is the major route for the delivery of the drugs and obviously, I also tried to put my brain behind the development of sustained oral drug delivery systems like floating tablet, colon targeted formulation and pulsatile drug delivery system.
I had UGC Fellowship during my Postgraduate Research in the university department of Pharm. Sciences, Nagpur. I have successfully guided more than M. Pharm. students and Five students have successfully completed their doctoral research under my guidance. I have done Certificate course in German Language from Linguistic department of Nagpur University.
I have received International Travel grants from DST, New Delhi in 2011 to present my research finding in 37th Annual meeting and Exposition of Controlled Release Society held at Maryland, USA. In 2012 I received international travel grant from Savitribai Phule Pune University to present my research finding in 38th Annual meeting and Exposition of Controlled Release Society held at Quebec, Canada.
I have completed one Major research project ably funded by BCUD, Pune University and recently in Feb. 2020, I have received one Major project (MODROB) worth 13.5 Lakh rupees from AICTE, New Delhi which is the testimony of my research acumen.
I have a passion for teaching profession and hence willingly I opted to be an “ACADEMICIAN”. Working with enthusiasm and thrust for success is the motive of my life. I am proud recipient of Best Teacher Award -Professional Courses-Rural 2025 from Savitribai Phule Pune University as recognition to my dedicated efforts in Teaching for 17 long years in the affiliated college of the SPPU. I have been Bestowed upon with Dr. S.G. Wadodkar Memorial Teacher of the Year 2025 award from Maharashtra State Branch of Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India (APTI). Interactive teaching and providing opportunity to each and every student to speak by their heart always help to nurture the sense of gratification within the students and then and then only one can bring the best out of each and every student. I feel providing basic knowledge about the field of study through classroom teaching with thought provoking and healthy discussion and imparting curiosity about each and every minute change happening around in our profession can train students of our profession to take any Herculean task with positive frame of mind. I have been teaching Research methodology and regulatory affairs to postgraduate students for last 17 years and these two subjects are really important through the point of view of Research. I have Videos published on my YouTube channel related to research and Research Methodology along with Physical Pharmaceutics.
I have delivered expert talks on various topics of Pharmaceutics and Research in various National and International conferences. I am well versed with the application of computers in the field of research and has my own YouTube channel with various educational videos posted on it. I have great number of student subscribers and viewers from filed of Pharmacy. I have Four International and Two National Books and Nine book chapters published which is the testimony of my writing ability and subject knowledge.
