Dr. Md. Aftab Alam, presently, working as Professor, in School of Pharmacy, Katihar Medical college Campus, Alkarim University, Katihar.
Dr. Alam, worked as Professor in Department of Pharmacy, School of Medical and Allied Sciences, honored various positions including IPR-Head, HOD-M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics for a period of 5 year+.
He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Pharmacy, Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi. In advanced certification, completed Research Associate (RA/POST-DOC)under direct supervision of Dr. Amulya K. Scientist-H and Director- National Institute of Immunology, Govt of India,on the project topic entitled “Engineering analysis of large-scale polymeric nanoparticle formulations process”. Earlier research credentialed as Research Intern- (Lupin Pharma R&D), Pune during M. Pharm. tenure of approx. 01 Year (2005-2006) in Pharmaceutical Company, SRF-ICMR (2010-2013),JRF-UGC (2008-2010) for the tenure of Ph.D completion. I was also honored award of Research Internee at Lupin Pharma Company in R&D, Pune, India for the tenure of Research Project in M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics)
Dr. Alam, received several awards i.e., highest recipient Award for research and Innovation for the year 2019 in regard to Scopus Paper award achievement at Galgotias University @ cash prize of Rs.2,38,500/- and other successive years in cash prize. For the year 2020, Received as Top10 (Top1%) of the researcher of the Galgotias University based on Scopus citation index (Elsevier), Top 5 School Wise Awardee in Department of Pharmacy, School of Medical and Allied Sciences, by Noble Laureate Prof. (Dr) Richard John Roberts, Chief Scientific Officer, Massachusetts, New England.

Dr. Alam, also honored awards of Innovation Ambassador from Ministry of Education. Under his esteemed research he has established center of excellence lab in research in cancer sciences (Cell line lab), Central Instrumentation facilities lab.
During his Ph.D Journey, he attended many International Conferences for the year 2011 in several countries i.e., Kyoto Breast Cancer Conferences in Japan in April, 2011, American Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AAPS) in San Francisco (USA) in May, 2011, and Prefilled Syringes Asia Pacific Conferences in Singapore as an invited speaker for the year July, 2011. He has also delivered a talk at Indo-US platform in Indian National Science Academy, for the year of Feb, 2009 at New-Delhi. He has Qualified GATE in Pharmaceutical Sciences conducted by IIT, Delhi in 2004. He was awarded travel bursary awards by different funding agency i.e., DST (Department of Science and Technology), CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) and ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) to attend the International Conferences. His research acumen and inclination in various disciplines such as cancer nanotechnology, drug delivery, Biomedical research, and Herbal Research in medical sciences establish him as a potential researcher and educationalist.

His research expertise in Cancer Nanotechnology, Scaffold Nanotechnology, Brain drug delivery system, Novel drug delivery system, Antibody-Drug conjugation technique and characterization, Western Blotting, Cell Culture/Cell line Studies, FACS Assay for Cellular uptake and cell cycle studies etc., Phyto/Pharmaceutical product development and evaluation, and Herbal nanotechnology etc.
