About

Dr. Sampath Suranjan Salins is an academician with more than 16 years of teaching and research. He is working as an Assistant professor (Selection grade) in School of Engineering and Information technology in MAHE Dubai. He joined MAHE Dubai on 22nd August 2010. Previously he worked in SIT Mangalore, Karnataka, India as Lecturer for three years from 2007 to 2010.
Dr. Sampath holds a Doctorate degree in Thermal Engineering from MAHE Dubai UAE. He is very active in research where he published more than 80 international Scopus indexed research papers in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Among them, he published 42 research papers in the field of heat and mass transfer. He attended 5 international conferences and holds a design patent. He is a reviewer for the Journal “Thermal science and Engineering progress”(Elsevier Publication).
He worked on many projects, one of the highlights is SAE BAJA international project, where he guided students in building a car which was presented in USA. Also, he guided a project which involved in building a head-controlled wheelchair for quadriplegic patients, humidification, and dehumidification unit, vertical wind turbine, water car etc. He consistently exceeded all tasks that were set for him, and was valued for his hard work, reliability, tenacity, and ability to come up with solutions to the problems. He was awarded the best teacher award in the year 2020 for the teaching and research skills.
He is member of American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), he has served the ASHRAE MAHE Dubai as branch advisor and ASHRAE Falcon chapter as Students activity chair. Under his leadership, Dubai students for 8 research grants and guided the students to build the project in the field of thermal engineering.
