About

I have 22 years of experience in academia, research and public sector both in India and abroad. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Masters in Urban Planning and a Doctorate from University of Ulster. I am a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Fellow of the Institute of Town Planners (ITPI). I am also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and a Council Member of the International Federation of Housing and Planning (IFHP) representing India.

I have been involved in wide range of research projects funded by research councils, charities and international institutions. I have contributed on a major research project namely ‘Urban Security’ (BESECURE) funded by the European Union under FP7, public private partnership funded by the RICS Education Trust and ‘Urban Regeneration and Energy Efficient Building Research’ funded by University of Ulster Strategic Fund. I have been Director of School of Real Estate at RICS School of Built Environment In India and Teaching & Learning Coordinator at University of Ulster, United Kingdom. I was also Town Planner in National Capital Region Delhi for over a decade involved in key strategic projects like Rajiv Gandhi Education City, KMP Expressway, Large Integrated Industrial Estates and Developments.
