Dr. Tejinder Singh, NAMS Emeritus Professor Medical Education and Chair Professor HPE, Adesh University, Bathinda, India.. He has been the Founder Director, CMCL-FAIMER Regional Institute, Convener, Medical Council of India’s Nodal Center for Faculty Development, National Convener of Advance Course in Medical Education for Medical Council of India, Program in Charge of PG Diploma in Mother and Child Health (IGNOU), Co-ordinator of Medical Education Cell, Vice Principal, Dean, and Acting Principal, at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, India. His educational qualifications include a Masters in Pediatrics, Diplomate of National Boards, Masters in Distance Education and PG Diplomas in Higher Education, Human Resource Management, Training and Development and Nutrition & Health Education. He has also successfully completed with Honors, a Masters in Health Professions Education from University of Maastricht, The Netherlands. The National Academy of Medical Sciences, Indian Academy of Pediatrics, FAIMER, International Medical Sciences Academy and IMA College of General Practitioners have awarded him FELLOWSHIP.
He has been recipient of many Awards, Prizes and Scholarships including Dr. B C Roy National Award for Eminent Medical Teacher, National Board of Examinations award for Excellence in Medical Education, Maj. Gen. Amir Chand Memorial Award for Family Medicine, and IMA Medical Education and Research Award for Young Graduates. He has been awarded Dr. APJ Kalam Memorial Oration (KGMU), Dr. P.N. Krishnamoorthy Oration (NCPE), Dr. Shantilal C Sheth Oration (IAP), Dr K L Wig Oration (NAMS) and Prof. A Krishna Rao Oration (MAHE). He has received extensive training in the field of Medical Education, Distance Education, Training & Development and Human Resource Management. He has been associated with Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER), Philadelphia, USA, as a Fellow, Global Faculty Advisor and International faculty.
Dr Tejinder Singh has over 290 publications in National and International journals to his credit. He has contributed over 45 chapters in books and is the author of 4 Books. He is a reviewer for many National and International Journals in addition to being editorial board member for the medical education section of many prestigious journals including International Journal of Surgery and many national journals.
Dr. Tejinder Singh is the founder Director of CMCL-FAIMER Regional Institute established at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana in collaboration with Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research, Philadelphia, USA. This institute is successfully running since 2006. He is also the Convener and National Consultant of the Medical Council of India Advance course in Medical Education. He was the Chairman of Education Centre of Indian Academy of Pediatrics, in addition to being member of various academic committees of various Universities, Medical Council of India and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare formulated for curriculum, student assessment and faculty development. He has been designated as Advisor to IAP Education Center and Indian College of Pediatrics.
He has been involved with faculty development on Teacher Training, Research Methodology, Distance Education, Assessment for learning and Student Support at various local, national and international conferences. He has been invited to several International and National meetings on medical education as a guest speaker.
