Dr. Suraj Kumar Singh is a highly accomplished and distinguished academic who has made significant contributions to the field of Geomatics Engineering. As an Associate Professor and coordinator at the Centre for Sustainable Development, Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur, he has dedicated his career to researching and tackling some of the most pressing issues of our time. Dr. Singh's impressive resume boasts an extensive list of accomplishments, including a Ph.D. from the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, and a highly coveted position as a Research Associate at National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). He has also held teaching positions at the Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ), Brambe, Ranchi, where he was an Assistant Professor. His publications have garnered over 4664 citations, and his i10 index stands at an impressive 119, with an H-index of 42.
Dr. Singh's research interests are broad and varied, ranging from water logging and flood hazards to geospatial applications in water resources, disaster management, hydro geomorphology, urban planning, and wasteland mapping. He has also organized more than 60 workshops, seminars, and international conferences, demonstrating his commitment to sharing his expertise and knowledge with the wider community.
Under Dr. Singh's guidance, 13 Ph.D. candidates have successfully completed their doctoral studies, and a further 4 are currently under his supervision. He has also overseen the completion of 60 PG thesis dissertations (MSC/M.Tech in Geoinformatics). Dr. Singh's exceptional leadership skills, combined with his extensive research experience, make him an exceptional mentor and supervisor to his students.
In addition to his research and teaching commitments, Dr. Singh also serves as a reviewer for various high-impact international journals, highlighting his commitment to advancing the field of Geomatics Engineering.
