About
Dr. Satvik Vats (SMIEEE) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra-Ranchi, Jharkhand, India, and has since dedicated his career to advancing both teaching and research.
Before joining MMMUT, Dr. Vats served as an Assistant Professor at Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, and worked as an AI Researcher on the iDoc-X Project with Teleglobal Consulting LTD, UK. In this role, he contributed to the development of iDoc, a healthcare solution leveraging artificial intelligence for the detection of chest diseases from X-ray images.
Dr. Vats’s research contributions span high-impact international journals and conferences indexed in SCI, SCIE, ESCI, SCOPUS, and Web of Science. His academic work includes authoring books and book chapters with reputed international publishers. He also holds several patents, underscoring his commitment to innovation and applied research.
In recognition of his contributions, he was honored with the Young Scientist Award (2025) at the International Conference on Network and Cryptology, organized by the School of Computer and Systems Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
Beyond publications and patents, Dr. Vats has played a key role in the global academic community as the founder and convener of two international conference series:
AutoCom – focusing on advancements in automation, computing, and smart technologies.
CyberCom – dedicated to cybernation, computation, and emerging technologies.
Both conferences have quickly gained recognition in the international research community for their quality and scope.
As an educator, Dr. Vats is deeply committed to fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. His teaching philosophy emphasizes not only the transfer of knowledge but also the cultivation of curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. He integrates his research interests in Big Data Analytics and Machine Learning/Deep Learning into his teaching to bridge the gap between theory and practice, equipping students to tackle the challenges of a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
