About
Ph.D. Thesis work focuses on design the mono, di and tri cationic ionic liquids and use with metal oxide as binary and ternary catalytic system to promote the carbon dioxide utilization to organic carbonates. A combination of CO2 absorption and ionic liquid characterisation techniques used to study the mechanism and correlation on the catalyst active insights with proposed mechanism. Variable functionalised homogenous and heterogonous catalyst was used for organic carbonates synthesis. In addition to that designed the variable multi cation ILs for catalysis of organic reaction. During the course, I gained expertise in physicochemical characterization and analysis such as GC, NMR, HR-MS, XRD, XPS, FE-SEM, RAMAN and HR-TEM. I have also gained expertise in high pressure and temperature autoclave reaction. Guided the research of graduate and post graduate students and proved the leadership for handling independent project.
