About
Dr. Neha Kulkarni is a Post-doc Research Associate on the PRIME project as a Biostatistic/Bioinformatician. She completed her PhD research (Bioinformatic) at the Molecular Biotechnology Center, in the Department of Molecular Biotechnology and Health Sciences at the University of Torino, Italy. Her PhD project was developing a workflow system to analyse genomic and transcriptomic sequencing data, with an aim to develop a reproducible bioinformatics project that is useful for researchers who have no or less experience in programming. Her current research involves developing pipelines using R/Bioconductors and Python programming languages to analyse transcriptomic, metagenomic and metabolic data processed from cervicovaginal fluids and placental tissues. It also involves integrating sequencing data with other clinical data to highlight biomarkers and to elucidate likely causal pathways.
