About
V Madhurima is currently a Professor of Physics at the Central University of Tamil Nadu. Her research interests are in experimental and computational studies of intermolecular hydrogen bonds. Broadband dielectric spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, wetting studies, ab initio Hartree-Fock/Density Functional Theory and classical molecular dynamics are used to predict the complex behavior's of hydrogen bonded systems. In addition, desiccation drying patterns of colloids (coffee-stain effect) and granular material are also studied in the group using Confocal Laser Scanning Spectroscopy. These studies have a range of applications from superhydrophobic materials, food technology, micro-electronics to molecular astrophysics.
