Dr Shailendra Singh Rana (MDS, MAMS, MFDS RCPS [Glasg], FDS RCS [England]), did his graduation in Dentistry in March, 2010 from Maharana Pratap College of Dentistry and Research Centre, Gwalior, M.P, and his postgraduation in Orthodontics in December 2014 from Department of Orthodontics, All India Institute Of Medical Science, New Delhi. After post-
graduation, he joined the same department at AIIMS, New Delhi, as Senior Resident for 3 years. He also did a 1-year fellowship in cleft lip and palate orthodontics from AIIMS, New Delhi. Currently, He is working as Associate Professor and Head of Department of Dentistry from Nov 01-07-2023 to till now in the All India Institute of Medical Science, Bathinda, Punjab. His current interest areas are orthodontic treatment in cleft lip and palate patients, Artificial Intelligence, lingual orthodontics, obstructive sleep apnea, miniscrew implants for orthodontic anchorage, procedures that shorten orthodontic treatment duration and simplifying orthodontic treatment as per need of our country and Indian subcontinent. He is committed to extending his research in these areas and also to train his students as per needs of our nation.
