Dr. Shashikant Kumar is a planning consultant by profession with social sciences background. He has over 26 years of experience in Urban & regional, Planning, GIS and operational research. The specific experience includes business development, marketing, management and undertaking the projects. He has gathered experience in the field data coordination, evaluation and assessment of various development projects in state. Recent experience, include providing vision to the Internet mapping project, design and programming for around 70 cities of India. He has been also involved with Uttar Pradesh Spatial Decision Support System (UPSDSS) as GIS Analyst, coordinating for various data inputs from the key departments of education, health, roads, Irrigation and power. He is also engaged in development of the urban indicators for the urban infrastructure to be used in the rating and auditing of the local bodies as researcher and system analyst. He is also involved in development of course curriculum and training materials for the short-term courses in Geographical Information System with training providers. Teaching and Administrative experience at BCHS, APIED and Parul University.
