Completed B Pharm (1992) and M Pharm (1994) from Gulbarga University, Gulbarga, Karnataka, and PhD (2006) from The Tamilnadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai. Has 27 years of teaching and research experience and has supervised 63 M Pharm and B Pharm projects and 10 PhD projects under JNTU, Hyderabad, Karpagam University, Coimbatore, Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun, and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. Has published 146 papers in various national and international journals, presented 78 papers in various national and international conferences. He has authored 12 books and book chapters. Also filed 16 patents. Active member of learned bodies like APTI, IPA, .
Received many awards and honors, which include ‘Sri Chandrashekhara Swamy Gold Medal’ from Gulbarga University and ‘36th IPC Cash Award’ from Indian Pharmaceutical Congress, for securing First Rank in B Pharm. ‘Best Paper Award’ for the year 2002, from Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA), Mumbai, ‘Prof BM Mithal Memorial Award for Best Paper in Pharmaceutical Education’ for the year 2011, from Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), Bangalore, ‘Travel Grant Award’ from International Microencapsulation Society and Tefarco Innova, Italy, to attend 15th International Symposium on Microencapsulation, held at Parma, Italy, during September 18-21, 2005. Received APJ Abdul Kalam Research Thinker Award 2019 (Students’ Choice) from Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Uttar Pradesh during Great Innovation Challenge 2K19, held on October 15, 2019. Received Pharma Ratna-2019: Best Professor Award from Rab Di Mehr Foundation, Delhi, during their 4th Pharma Ratna Award ceremony, at Delhi, on November 25, 2019. National Level First Prize from Society for Pharmaceutical Dissolution Science (SPDS) in the Dissolution Research Presentations India 2020 (DRPI-2020), held from May 27 to June 7, 2020. Received Teacher Recognition Award from Together We Can Foundation, Ambala Cantt, Haryana, on Teacher’s Day Celebration, online, on September 5, 2021.
