About
Dr. Gunvant A Birajdar is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. He discharged his teaching and research duties for one decade at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Tuljapur, Maharashtra. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Department of Mathematics, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad (M.S.) India, where he was a Doctoral Fellow under the Research Fellowship in Sciences for Meritorious Students (RFSMS) of UGC, New Delhi from July 2009 to July 2013. He has presented papers at various international and national conferences and has published research papers in 17 international journals and one national journal, with three papers communicated. He has also been a reviewer for 16 journals and is a member of the editorial board for ten journals. Dr. Birajdar has received ten awards, has given 12 invited talks and nine guest lectures, and has completed two projects with one ongoing. He has organized one conference and two workshops and has attended six workshops, one seminar, and one symposium. He has in-depth knowledge of specialized software, including Matlab, SPSS, R-Software, Python, Maple, Mathematica, and Latex.
Dr. Gunvant has also traveled abroad to attend various academic events. He attended the Conference on “Free Computational Mathematics” at Centre International de Rencontres Mathematiques, FRANCE, February 11-15, 2019. He completed a thematic semester on “Numerical Computing for Algebraic Geometry” at Max-Planck Institute for Mathematical Sciences, GERMANY, in the Spring School Leipzig, Germany, during August 13-17, 2018. He also completed a thematic semester on “Fundamental Practice of Finite Element Method” at the University of Rennes 1, FRANCE, in the Spring School Roscoff, FRANCE, during April 16-20, 2018. Dr. Gunvant also presented a paper at the “International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics” at China Conventional Center Beijing, CHINA, in August 2015.
