About
Ph.D. Scholar at Department of Health Sciences, Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences with masters degree in Health Sciences. Seven years of experience in the health social science research primarily focusing on academic and operational aspects of Tuberculosis (TB)-Diabetes co-morbidity, Antimicrobial Resistance, Maternal and child health, Tribal Health and Tribal Education. Expertise includes applying mix of methodologies in socio-cultural and operational aspects of TB- Diabetes comorbidity, antimicrobial resistance and congenital heart diseases for bringing together quantitative and qualitative perspectives. Keen interest is in Health System Research in a view of contributing to strengthen the existing health system in India. Currently working closely with National Tuberculosis (TB) Elimination programme (NTEP) as a Capacity Building Expert for Maharashtra state emphasizing on training of NTEP health staff on various aspects related to TB indicators and institutional strenthening of health fascilities which are crucial elements in effective delivery of TB health services. Priority areas include enagaement of priavte serctor, corporate sector and community in NTEP programme to enhance intersectoral co-ordinaion and prividing technical support to NTEP while delivering TB services. I have acquired skills in my past community health research experience which includes working with national health programmes, research proposal development, writing project reports for the same, development of IEC materials, training and capacity building of the research team while leading the projects, monitoring research projects along with implementation and management of the project activities.
I am focused, critical thinker and with beneficial work experience gained through numerous roles in the Public Health research field in past seven years. I am determined to my duties and desired to achieve significant results with confidence and commitment.
