About
Dr. Hakeem Niyas has made notable contributions in the fields of energy storage, renewable energy, and thermal management of batteries, buildings, and processors. He obtained his PhD degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. His PhD Thesis is on the Development and Optimization of Latent Heat Storage Systems for Concentrating Solar Power Plants. He received the DST International Travel Grant for Young Scientist award for presenting his research works at the Solar World Congress 2015, held at Daegu, South Korea. He is an active reviewer in many international journals and got the Outstanding Reviewer award from Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews. He has given various research-oriented talks in prestigious institutions. Before joining as an Assistant Professor at Energy Institute Bengaluru, Centre of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, he served as a Faculty in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. His research contributions have resulted in several high-quality publications.
