Dr. Mohammad Aslam Ansari is presently working as a Professor in the Department of Agriculture Communication, College of Agriculture, G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar (Uttarakhand) India since 2003. After getting a doctoral degree in Extension Education from IVRi, Izatnagar, he was awarded Commonwealth Fellowship in 1991 for Post-doctoral studies at University of Leicester (UK). Earlier, he has received Senior Research Fellowship during doctoral studies and UNDP/ICAR scholarship during post-graduation at Pantnagar University. He is Life Member of Five professional associations and Reviewer of one international journal and one national journal besides being chairman of editorial board of one national journal (Indian Jornal of Science Communication).
Dr. Ansari has about 25 Years experience of working in different capacities in various sectors such as Corporate (MICA), Government (ATI, Nainital), NGO (PPRC, Lucknow) and Academic sectors (Lucknow University; AAI-DU, Allahabad and G. B. Pant University, Pantnagar). Presently, he is engaged in research and teaching of Communication and Extension Education-related courses to the students of UG, PG and Ph.D. at Pantnagar University. He has published more than 80 research papers in reputed peer-reviewed national and international journals besides 35 popular articles in farm magazines; published two books, five book chapters, and guided 20 Masters and 10 Ph.D. theses; attended many national and international conferences in India, UK, Philippines. The areas of his research interests include ICT applications in agriculture and rural development, Development Communication, Training, Health Communication and Science Communication.
