About
My research focuses on understanding the molecular basis of cancer by utilizing cell biology, bioinformatics, and molecular biology-based methods to identify new biomarkers, discover new cholesterol-modulating agents with anti-cancer potential, and study the complexity of mechanistic pathways underlying health and disease. I am currently utilizing advanced 3D models such as organoids to study cancers in South African patients. My long-term vision is to establish cutting-edge research platforms and to create opportunities for the next generation of innovators.
