About
I am presently working as an Associate Professor at RIMT university, Punjab. I have worked as a Women scientist (WOS-A) in DST funded independent project at CSIR Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Canal Road, Jammu-180001, Jammu and Kashmir, India. I earned my M.Phil. and Ph.D.in Biotechnology from the School of Biotechnology, University of Jammu.
I was awarded NET-LS in Lifesciences in 2008. I am a recipient of various fellowships viz. CSIR-direct Senior Research Fellowship, CSIR-Research Associateship, DST-WoS-A. Besides, I have postdoctoral experience of five years and teaching experience of more than 2 years. I have published eight research articles as a first author in the journals of repute.
My research interests include Microbial Biotechnology, Molecular biology, Microbiology, and Metagenomics.
