About
Dr. Dhrubajyoti Majumdar was born in Kolkata and currently holds the position of Associate professor at Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya (Department of Chemistry), West Bengal, India. Dr. Majumdar received his M.sc in Inorganic chemistry as a special paper from Calcutta University, Raja Bazar Science College, Kolkata, and PhD from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad-826004, Jharkhand, India. His ongoing research interests are synthesizing Salen type ligand metal complexes, crystal engineering surveys via SCXRD, structural characterization using SEM-EDX, XPS, and conventional analytical techniques, DFT, and their supramolecular aggregates. Besides synthesizing the complex's electronic conductivity, the Schottky defect, the spodium/sigma-hole bonding concept, antimicrobial (Antibacterial and fungal), nano particles antibacterial, and cytotoxicity-based research were also investigated in his laboratory. Dr. Majumdar's laboratory recently performed an antifungal photodynamic therapy (APDT) experiment on transition metal complexes, an emerging research area concerned with coordination chemistry. He has published 40 peer-reviewed papers in Scopus and the Web of Science Indexing journal, where he was the first author of most papers. Concerning the line, the author recently published an article by Crystal Growth & Des. RSC Advances, Journal of Inorganic and Organometallic Polymers and Materials, and Inorganic Chemistry Communications. He is the potential reviewer of most Inorganic chemistry journals, including Elsevier, Springer, RSC, Wiley, Taylor and Francies, and ACS. Three PhD Scholar works under Dr. Majumdar's supervision at Vidyasagar University, WB, India. Dr. Majumder is dedicated to advancing the global understanding of coordination complexes, crystal engineering, and supramolecular interactions through DFT investigations.
