About

As a physician scientist my goal is to seek answers to overcome major clinical challenges in the fields of cancer biology & cardiovascular pathology. My research activities include identification of novel therapeutic targets for ovarian, endometrial and triple negative breast cancer based on the large scale genomic data curation followed by confirmation through functional and biological assays. I am highly interested to study molecular pathways of cancer development to unveil how oncogenes helps to promote cancer transformations, molecular characteristics of metastatic cancers and development of chemotherapy resistance in cancer to expand my insight in to solid tumor pathology. I am also interested in macrophage polarization and its involvement in tissue inflammation i.e. atherosclerosis development and cancer metastasis. My current studies involve delivery of cancer chemotherapeutics, interfering RNA and epigenetics modulating drugs to secondary metastatic sites i.e. bone, brain and treating metastatic cancers more effectively and efficiently.
