Dr. Manu Raj Sharma is an Assistant Professor at the University Department of Geography, Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU), Darbhanga. Dr. Sharma’s research focuses on the interactions between atmospheric processes and human-environment systems, with particular emphasis on climate variability, extreme events, and wetland transformation in the Indo-Gangetic plains. His work integrates field-based inquiry with satellite monitoring, employing advanced geospatial techniques and statistical modeling to assess long-term climatic trends and their socio-ecological impacts. A Ph.D. from Panjab University, he has authored over 20 peer-reviewed papers on rainfall anomalies, wetland shrinkage, lightning risk, and evapotranspiration trends. Trained at NRSC–ISRO and proficient in Python, R, and GIS, Dr. Sharma integrates climatological diagnostics with adaptive policy design and advances climate resilience through regional planning and creative outreach.
