About
Dr. Emilda Rosmine is a marine biologist specializing in marine microbiology, environmental biotechnology, marine biodiversity, and aquaculture. She obtained her Ph.D. in Marine Biology from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), India. She is currently serving as Guest Faculty in the Department of Marine Biology and Ocean Studies, Pondicherry University, Port Blair Campus.
Her research interests include marine microbial ecology, enzyme biotechnology, mangrove and estuarine ecosystems, marine biodiversity, phytal and benthic meiofauna, aquaculture nutrition, and environmental sustainability. She has published extensively on marine actinomycetes, xylanases, marine natural products, and aquaculture applications, and has authored two books in the field of industrial enzymes. Her recent research focuses on microplastics, biofilm-forming microalgae, mangrove sediment metagenomics, and climate-resilient coastal ecosystems.
Dr. Rosmine is actively involved in teaching, student mentoring, scientific outreach, and interdisciplinary marine research aimed at promoting sustainable management of coastal and marine resources.
