About
Raja Solomon Viswas received a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the S. B. College of Pharmacy, the Tamilnadu Dr. M. G. R. Medical University, Chennai, India, and a master’s degree in Pharmacy with a specialization in Medicinal & Pharmaceutical chemistry from the S. G. S. Institute of Technology, the Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal, India, under the direction of Prof. S. C. Chaturvedi. He completed his Ph.D. in the field of Medicinal Chemistry at the CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, India, under the guidance of Prof. S. B. Katti and then moved to Advanced Medical Research Institute of Canada/Health Science North, as an Ontario Government Ministry of Research Innovation postdoctoral fellow in the Prof. Hoyun Lee research group. Then he worked as a Research Scientist at the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, with Prof. Humphrey Fonge. Currently, he works as a Professor at MNR College of Pharmacy, India. His research interests include (i) development of novel immune-SPECT/PET agents for cancer; (ii) development of novel targeted alpha therapy (TAT) agents for colorectal and breast cancer treatment (iii) design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of hybrid molecules for cancer drug discovery; and (iv) development of new synthetic methodologies for application in organic and bifunctional chelators synthesis. His research has garnered more than 6033 citations, resulting in an impressive h-index of 38 and an i10 index of 78. Furthermore, he has served as a reviewer for more than 350 peer-reviewed articles in various international journals.
