About
I am a Senior Research Fellow in the Environmental Engineering Division, Department of Civil Engineering, Jadavpur University, India. My research focuses on landfill biomining, legacy waste remediation, resource recovery, and the social dimensions of landfill reclamation, with an emphasis on developing sustainable approaches to remediate legacy waste dumpsites and recover and valorize valuable resources.
My broader research interests include municipal solid waste management, waste-to-resource approaches, refuse-derived fuel (RDF) utilization, circular economy, and sustainable urban waste management. I am particularly interested in interdisciplinary research that integrates environmental engineering, resource economics, environmental policy, and sustainable development to develop evidence-based, economically viable solutions to contemporary waste-management challenges.
