About

Dr.(Mrs.) Anjitha George is currently working as Senior Scientist (Agricultural Entomology) at ICAR- Indian Institute of Seed Science, Mau, UP-275103, India. She is currently working on integrated management of storage insect pests of seeds which are utilized for quality seed production programmes. she joined ICAR-CCRI, Nagpur on 22nd December, 2011. During her doctoral programme, she has worked on arthropod biodiversity, ecology, host plant resistance management of citrus leaf miner, Phyllocnistis citrella Stainton.
She worked on management of citrus insect pests at ICAR-Central Citrus Research Institute at Nagpur Maharashtra and were involved in 16 projects till 2021 comprising of host plant resistance, pheromone studies and biological control, evaluation of various insecticide molecules against citrus insect pests, insecticide resistance management as project leader as well as associate for ten years.
She has published 27 research papers, 2 book chapters, 4 technical papers, 12 popular article, 3 scientific/technical review, 4 extension bulletin, 1 extension folder, 2 documentary (uploaded online) during her nine years of career. She has also received two best poster awards and one best oral presentation in a national/ international conferences held. She is a life member of Society for Biocontrol Advancement, Bangalore, Plant Protection Association of India, Hyderabad, Indian Society of Citriculture and annual member in Society of Pesticide Science in India, New Delhi.
