About

My area of interest and research is public health and early childhood oral health, which includes work on sugar control, caries risk assessment (development and testing a novel CRAFT tool), caries-obesity link, health promotion models/ initiatives (National No Sugar Day), development of digital tools/ Apps for enhanced patient care, and frameworks for outreach activities. I have authored a book: Child management in Clinical Dentistry and published a few papers on managing child behaviour in a dental office. I have authored and supervised a few SRMAs in recent years. I have over 22 years of teaching and 25 years of clinical experience in dentistry.
