About

My name is Sultana Chowdhury, and I am a researcher specializing in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. I hold B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU) in Bangladesh. I further pursued the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s program in Chemical Innovation and Regulation, studying at the University of Barcelona, University of Bologna, and University of Algarve. My focus areas included advanced materials, nanotechnology, and sustainable energy systems.
For my Master’s thesis at the University of Barcelona, I developed Pullulan-Pectin hybrid gels for bead formation, evaluating them as active ingredient delivery systems for compounds like Vitamin C and Gallic Acid. This research was published in the journal Food Hydrocolloids. I gained expertise in advanced analytical techniques such as rheology, scanning electron microscopy (SEM/TEM), Centrifuge, spectrophotometry, and so on.
Additionally, I interned at LipoTrue S.L., where I contributed to HPLC analysis, peptide electrophoresis, and ensured regulatory compliance. My research interests encompass biomass, biofuels, catalysis, and biomaterials, reflecting my commitment to advancing sustainable technologies and fostering interdisciplinary innovation.
