About

I am Sucharita Ghoshal, a doctoral scholar of rural development at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Faculty Center for Agriculture, Rural, and Tribal Development Management. My research domain is tribal multidimensional poverty. Basically, I am working on an assessment of multidimensional poverty among tribes of Jharkhand.
Apart from this, I am working as a research assistant and document officer in the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute and Srijan Foundation.
During my graduation and post-graduation levels, I have been exposed to a meaningful learning experience as a part of an innovative degree course on agriculture, rural, and tribal development under the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute.
During my B.Sc. coursework in Agriculture, Rural, and Tribal Development, I have received different types of knowledge and skills regarding tribal livelihood and tribal culture of Jharkhand.
I have received tutelage on subjects such as Society and Rural Development, Rural Economics and Markets, Sustainable Agriculture practices, Plant Protection, Agri-entrepreneurship, Research Methodology etc. I have also acquired skills on social survey, PRA, research methods, report writing, proposal development, public presentation etc. Apart from this knowledge and skills sets I have gained substantial practical exposure to different rural areas during frequent field visits, Rural Living and Learning Experience with villagers for extended periods of time, and working with leading rural development organizations.
