About

With almost 5 years of post-PhD work experience in research, teaching and enterprise, I have developed skills in writing research propositions, leading project meetings, networking and resolving conflicts in multi-partner collaborations.

Studying/working in top Australian (UNSW Sydney), UK (Manchester, Nottingham and Leeds) and Indian universities (IIT Kharagpur and JU) of world-class excellence instilled within me a sense of passion toward innovative and applied scientific research in the areas of analyzing new materials/methods and made me flexible to welcome newer and wider researches.

My PhD and postdocs in Mechanical Engineering have set a new paradigm of efficiently predicting the behaviour of multi-layered materials (COMPOSITES), their mechanical behaviour (incl. FRACTURE Mechanics) and understanding the physics behind the fluid-solid interaction at different scales (TRIBOLOGY).

Much of my current work has been on thin fluid film modelling, evolution of rough surface in course of wear and elasto-hydrodynamics and a growing interest toward tribocorrosion, renewable energy and machine learning.

Outside research, I have lectured MScs in the fields of numerical methods, and tribology to share the most up-to-date industry relevant teaching material and create an effective teaching environment. I am also supervising project students at masters and PhD levels in the areas of CFD/FEA, composites and lubrication science.
