About
Prof. Anupam Dikshit was born on 15 July 1954. He did his Ph. D. in Botany from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University under the able supervision of Prof. S. N. Dixit. He has excelled in the area of Botanical antimicrobials for agricultural health and cosmaceuticals. Continued research invented reutilizable Herbal Fumigant- Pestoban and different herbal cosmaceuticals formulation Skin Guard, Skin Pro, Pityriasis Versicolar Guard, Dendrocare, Nail Guard and Herbal mouth disinfectant Sprint. ANN modelling and virtual screening were successfully used to predict the mechanism of action through in silico approach. He has been elected as Fellow of National Academy of Sciences (FNASc) in 2002 for outstanding research contribution. He has been felicitated with Rashtriya Gaurav Award and Sangam Jyoti Award for excellence in scientific research. Besides 4 patents, 66 publications and mentoring 01 D. Sc. and 15 D. Phil., he also visited UK, USA and Germany for presenting his research findings.
