Anirban Dey

About

Anirban Dey is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Information Technology at the Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (Deemed to be a University under u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956). He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from the University of Calcutta and the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Kerala in 2016 and 2018, respectively. Dey has continued his academic journey and submitted his PhD thesis at the University of Calcutta in 2024.
Before joining Siksha 'O' Anusandhan, Dey worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Calcutta, and actively worked in areas like pattern recognition, omic data analysis, and medical image computing. His doctoral dissertation focuses on "Matrix factorization and Swarm Intelligence application in 'omic data analysis".
Dey has also contributed to two projects sponsored by UGC-UPE-II and NPIU-MHRD, Government of India. Additionally, he is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
