About
I graduated from the Department of Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Tezpur University in February 2022. My doctoral research involved development of microbial bioprocesses for the economical production of biofuels, oleochemicals and health promoting bioactive metabolites. Post-PhD, I briefly worked as a Research Associate (ICMR project) at Tezpur University before joining The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences as a Postdoctoral Fellow. My postdoc research was focused on investigating the sex differences in gut microbiome and its association with hypertension. Currently, I am serving as an Assistant Professor (Research) at Assam down town University, Guwahati, India (NAAC A+). My research is broadly focused in the area of Applied Microbiology with emphasis on Probiotics, Gut Microbiome and Microbial Metabolites in health and industry.
