About
I am a Doctorate in Postharvest Technology, COMFOCUS Fellow (European Horizon 2020), and an experienced Enology Consultant, with core expertise in postharvest management, value addition, and quality enhancement of horticultural commodities. My work focuses on developing sustainable and biodegradable packaging solutions, including edible films and advanced coatings, to reduce postharvest losses and improve shelf life.
I have successfully completed externally funded research projects supported by national agencies such as the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Department of Science and Technology, and HIMCOSTE. I have also received international training in Food Safety from the International Training and Research Institute.
I regularly serve as a Resource Person for workshops on Enology and Postharvest Management. My contributions include 3 granted and 29 filed patents, 81 research and review articles, 24 book chapters, and multiple extension publications. I am a recipient of the JS Pruthi Award for excellence in product development.
