About
Santanu is presently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Geology, Mizoram University. He conducts research on organic geochemistry, organic petrology, and stable isotope geochemistry. He is fond of reconstructing palaeobiome and palaeodepositional environment of organic matter preserved in natural archives, including lignite, coal, shale, crude oil, and amber, using integrated proxies. He also works on heteroatomic chemistry of hydrocarbons using FTIR, Raman, and XPS techniques.
