About
Dr. Nitin Kumar is currently a post-doctoral researcher in the Cardiovascular Medicine Dept. at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. He received his PhD degree in Biochemistry from University of Verona, Italy. Dr. Kumar has been a member of several scientific societies including American Heart Association (AHA), American society of Nephrology (ASN) and International Society of Hypertension (ISH). He is an elected new investigator by ISH. Dr. Kumar’s long-term research interest involves understanding the complex mechanisms that leads to the development of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Kumar employs a combination of immunological, biochemical and molecular approaches to identify new therapeutic targets in the treatment and prevention of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.
